Commend the guys

Last night at Belle Vue there was another rain off, disappointing I know but things like this happen we all know, but it seems to be a lot at the moment. So having withdrawal symptoms from being spoilt from the speedway world cup there was some premier league action with Ipswich witches v Somerset rebels.

So sky did their bit with the premier league. The weather was dry and with some good racing going on, everything was fine, until the rain came….

It seemed to rain from no where, although the riders agreed to carry on. Jason Doyle from Somerset was on fire, he got a paid maximum and was one of the cleanest there. Due to the rain it caused a lot of dirt into mud in a way and if you were not in front you would get very dirty indeed.

Although there was an incident between Dakota North and Claus Vissing where it turned out Claus had a suspected collarbone injury, so he did not ride for the rest of the meeting. So that is a blow.

The Aussies were there in full force, the young one like Cameron Heeps and Rohan Tungate did extremely well in the muddy and slippery conditions. But to all the lads on both teams going out there and having a good go of it and a win for Ipswich as well, seemed a good home win!!

Monday speedway

Another week has begun and that means a new week in the speedway fixture list. This evening Belle Vue Aces are in Wolverhampton against the Wolves. Last week the aces got their first win and hopefully another win against the same team could boost the confidence and moral in the team.

On sky there will be Lakeside v Swindon. Let’s hope that the weather stays nice and a good meeting can go under way.

In Poland yesterday Darcy Ward suffered an injury with his hand due to an incident. It is seen that he will not be in the meeting on Wednesday for Poole. Is this a downer for the pirates fans when one of their best riders is out injured, but these things happen and just the best for him and a speedy recovery.

Call it the blues

Hey,

Just an informal post really. Well we all know what lovely *cough cough* (rain) we have been having over the past few days or even a week, even to the extent with like a few of us a broken umbrella. I was not impressed with that one!

But anyhow this has effected many sports and those that rely on the weather has been greatly disrupted. Speedway has sooo many rain off’s it has been uncountable now in that a bit of sunshine would be nice.

Last Monday sky sports were at Belle Vue where Eastbourne were riding, but due ot heavy rain it was cancelled.

Some meetings have gone ahead but not all. So I hop we pray for sunshine so that the sport can continue with its season!!!
